Plastic Plates in an “Ice Room”

Listen 來聽 / / About Eating 食事

I thought I wanted to record the sounds of the old“Ice Room” (The name Bing Sutt in Cantonese literally means “ice room”.) It is a shop that sell soft drinks and ice cream, and was considered to be the predecessor of Hong Kong-style café cha chan ting. And then I noticed that there are no such plastic plates these days. They don’t appear in any restaurant. I really want to preserve their sounds — the texture that no other thing of today carries.
