From the park entrance, you see this spartan gazebo without anything but a few poles; the space is small and fits just two or three people. The sudden apparition of this gazebo made me wonder whether sounds sound different standing in it. You rarely get to see these kinds of gazebos, so I wanted to understand the function and history, and why have they almost become extinct these days?

在公園入口看到這個簡陋的亭子，除了幾根柱子外甚麼也沒有，而且空間小，只站得下兩三個人。這亭子突兀的存在讓我好奇並猜想站在裡面時聲音是否會有不同。現時已經極少看到這種亭子，所以想了解它的作用、歷史，而為何現在又幾乎絕跡？
