The kit offers vivid illustration with detailed and progressive instructions on first, listening, and second, sound collecting. People will get to know the three modes of listening. Through the listening exercises, we emphasize how participants should prepare mentally for individual listening and in a group. Regarding to sound collecting, we give detailed instructions on how to collect sound by representing sound in space on paper, sounding out our bodies together by sharing a common physical space, and understanding the basic principles of sound collecting from artists’ perspectives.

After the exercise, users can donate their sound recordings with attached Recording form and contribute to The Library’s collection.

自學教材第一部透過圖文並茂的按步指引讓公衆學習聆聽與採聲。在教材中，我們希望公衆理解三種聆聽模式。在聆聽的練習中我們強調學員如何準備他們的心理狀態來單獨或以一組進行聆聽。在紙上表達聲音與空間，用聲音表達我們與空間的關係，及從不同的藝術家中認識採錄聲音的基本技巧。

公眾參與練習後，可隨教材中附上的錄音記錄表，把採聲的成果捐獻給聲音圖書館成為館藏。
